How Do I Automatically Delete Items From Trash On A Mac?

Answer:

Yes, you can setup automatic Trash removal on your Mac as long as you have macOS Sierra 10.12 or newer. First go to the Finder (you can get there by clicking on your Desktop background image) then in the menubar go to Finder > Preferences (command+comma). Click on the Advanced tab and check the box next to "Remove items from the Trash after 30 days". Close the Preferences window and now your Trash will delete itself after 30 days.
