Answer:
Yes, you can disable Suggested Apps from appearing on your iOS. Launch the Settings app and navigate to App and iTunes Stores (or iTunes & App Store on older device). Look for Suggested Apps and then uncheck Installed Apps (again, on an older device switch off My Apps and App Store).
