Yes, it is possible to adjust the type size on an iOS 7 device. Open the Settings app and then tap on General followed by Accessibility. Swipe down to Larger Type and tap it. Turn "Larger Dynamic Type" on and adjust the slider at the bottom of the screen to your desired setting.
You can also try going to Settings > General > Text Size and adjusting the size there.
