Should I Buy An Apple TV Or A Roku?

Question:

I can't decide between the Apple TV and the Roku. Which one should I get?

Answer:

The Apple TV and the Roku have many similarities. They feature similar prices points and both support Netflix Streaming. But the Roku has Hulu Plus, Pandora, Facebook Photos, and many other channels that are constantly being updated. The Apple TV has a smaller, sleeker design that includes iTunes movie and TV rentals, YouTube and Flickr support, and the ability to use your iPhone or iPad as a remote control. Either way you can't go wrong. For many folks, it comes down to TV habits - would you rather pay a set monthly fee for Hulu Plus on the Roku or pay $.99 for TV rentals on the Apple TV?
