Question:

Is there a way to quickly jump to Messages in OS X?

Answer:

Launch the Messages in OS X and go to Messages > Preferences (or Command-Comma). Click on the Viewing tab and then click the checkbox that reads "Use a keyboard shortcut to bring Messages to the front". You can then click on the box next to it to choose your custom keyboard shortcut.
