Does MacBook Air Have A CD Drive?
Question:
I'm considering getting a MacBook Air, but don't understand how people survive without a DVD Drive to install programs and stuff. Does it have one?

Answer:
The MacBook Air does not have a CD, DVD, or SuperDrive. The MacBook Air is designed to be as thin and as light as possible and so it does not include an optical drive of any kind. There are a couple of workarounds if you really need a CD or DVD drive.
First, you can use Apple's Remote Disc option to install programs. It works by letting you use another Mac or PC CD or DVD drive to remotely install software on your MacBook Air. The data is transferred wirelessly.
You can also purchase Apple's MacBook Air SuperDrive. It's an external drive that hooks up to your MacBook Air and functions just as a CD and DVD drive does. If Apple's option seems too expensive, any external USB CD/DVD drive should work.
