How Can I Prioritize Wireless Network Connection Order?

Question:

My MacBook Pro keeps connecting to my neighbor's router instead of mine. How do I make it so it knows to connect to my router by default?

Answer:

You can easily prioritize your preferred networks in Mac OS X. Go to the Apple menu on the top left of your screen and select System Preferences. Choose the Network pane and make sure Airport is selected in the left column. Then click Advanced. From there, select the Airport tab to see a list of your preferred networks. Just drag your preferred network to the top of the list to prioritize it.
