How Do I Change My Desktop Picture In Mac OS X?

I want to use a picture of my cat as my desktop background. How do I add that to my desktop?

Answer:

Desktop pictures can be added and changed in Mac OS X by accessing the Desktop & Screen Saver panel inside of System Preferences. Click the Desktop tab and then use the left hand column to select an image from iPhoto or elsewhere on your computer. You can also select a folder of images and let Mac OS X rotate the images at a regular interval.
