Answer:
Yes, it is possible albeit a little convoluted. Connect to your hotspot from a Mac and then go to System Preferences > Sharing in OS X. Turn on Internet Sharing on the Mac and proceed to setup the internet-sharing network. Once created, all other devices can then connect to the internet via the Mac which is actually going through your hotspot.
