Beginning in iOS, Apple has introducted a feature to send your last location to Apple before your battery dies. This is useful if your iOS device is lost or stolen. To enable this feature, open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad and navigate to iCloud > Find My iPhone. Make sure Find My iPhone is enabled and then set the toggle for Send Last Location to the on position.
