Answer:
The short answer is that macOS 10.4 Mojave will work for any Mac released from mid-2012 or after. Additionally, the 2010/2012 Mac Pro models that have a compatible Metal graphics card are also supported.
Unfortunately, not all users of macOS 10.13 High Sierra will be able eligible to upgrade to Mojave.
Any MacBook manufactured between late 2009 and early 2012 or MacBook Pro released between mid 2010 and early 2012 cannot be updated beyond High Sierra.
The same goes for any MacBook Air from late 2010 to early 2012, any Mac mini released between mid 2010 and early 2012, or any iMac produced from late 2009 to early 2012. Upgrades for these Macs will all end with High Sierra.
